The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today elevated defensive lineman Adam Gotsis and defensive back J.T. Gray from the practice squad to the active roster for the club's Week 15 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football. It marks the second elevation of the season for Gotsis and the first for Gray.
Gotsis (6-4, 290) had been previously elevated for Tampa Bay's Week 1 victory over the Falcons, but did not play in the game. He has appeared in 126 career games between the Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts, making 54 starts and amassing 223 tackles (25 for loss), 42 quarterback hits, 22 passes defensed, 10.5 sacks, four fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (No. 63 overall) by the Denver Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Melbourne, Australia, native played collegiately at Georgia Tech (2012–15), appearing in 48 career games and logging 110 tackles, 12.5 sacks, five passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions. He wears No. 97 for Tampa Bay.
Gray (6-0, 202) was signed to Tampa Bay's practice squad on November 21. He has appeared in 99 career games between the New Orleans Saints (2018–24) and Denver Broncos (2025). A one-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro selection on special teams (2021 first-team, 2019 and 2024 second-team), Gray has recorded 89 career special teams tackles – second-most in the NFL since he joined the league. On defense, he has contributed an additional 14 tackles (one for loss), three fumble recoveries, 2.5 sacks, two quarterback hits, one forced fumble and one pass defensed. Gray played collegiately at Mississippi State University (2014–17), appearing in 46 career games and totaling 211 tackles (14.5 for loss), eight passes defensed, 4.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception (returned 58 yards for a touchdown). The Clarksdale, Mississippi, native wears No. 48 for Tampa Bay.
