The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today promoted offensive lineman Michael Jordan from the practice squad to the active roster, and placed wide receiver Mike Evans on Injured Reserve. In addition, the club has signed wide receiver Brandon Johnson to the practice squad.
Jordan (6-6, 312) has spent the duration of the 2025 season on Tampa Bay's practice squad after originally signing with the team on July 24, 2025. He has been elevated from Tampa Bay's practice squad three times this season, starting at left guard for the Buccaneers in Weeks 1-2 and starting at right guard in Week 7. Jordan has appeared in 70 career games, including 43 starts, between the Cincinnati Bengals (2019–20), Carolina Panthers (2021–22), New England Patriots (2024) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2025). He originally entered the league as a fourth-round selection (No. 136 overall) by the Bengals in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at The Ohio State University (2016–18), where he started 41 consecutive games across three seasons, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2017. He helped anchor an Ohio State offensive line that led the Big Ten in scoring and total offense in each of his three seasons. The Canton, Michigan, native wears No. 60 for Tampa Bay.
Johnson (6-2, 195) has appeared in 23 career games between the Denver Broncos (2022–23) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2024), totaling 26 receptions for 335 yards and five touchdowns. He originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Broncos in 2022 after playing collegiately at Tennessee (2016–20) and the University of Central Florida (2021). At Tennessee, Johnson appeared in 46 games, recording 79 receptions for 969 yards and one touchdown. Johnson transferred to UCF for his final collegiate season in 2021, where he appeared in 13 games and posted 38 receptions for 565 yards and 11 touchdowns, leading the Knights in receiving touchdowns and ranking second in receptions and receiving yards. In total, Johnson played in 59 collegiate games, logging 117 receptions for 1,534 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida, native will wear No. 83 for Tampa Bay.
