BUCCANEERS SIGN TWO PLAYERS TO PRACTICE SQUAD

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed wide receiver John Hurst and cornerback Rashard Robinson to their practice squad.

Hurst (6-2, 190) spent the 2021 training camp and preseason with the Los Angeles Chargers. He originally entered the league as a college free agent with Tampa Bay in 2020 and spent part of last season on the Buccaneers' practice squad. Hurst played collegiately at West Georgia, appearing in 35 games and making 77 receptions for 1,242 yards (16.1 avg.) and 12 touchdowns.

Robinson (6-2, 177) has played in 42 career games, making 18 starts, since entering the league as a fourth-round selection (No. 133 overall) by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2016 NFL Draft. Robinson has played for the 49ers (2016-17), the New York Jets (2017-18) and most recently the Dallas Cowboys (2020), compiling 85 career tackles to go along with two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. The Pompano Beach, Florida, native played collegiately at LSU.
