BUCCANEERS PROMOTE CB JAVIEN ELLIOTT TO THE ACTIVE ROSTER

Team Releases LB Kevin Minter; Signs RB Dare Ogunbowale To The Practice Squad

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has promoted cornerback Javien Elliott from the practice squad to the active roster and released linebacker Kevin Minter.

Elliott (5-11, 176) has played in six games for Tampa Bay this season. The Panama City, Florida, native – who played collegiately at Florida State – has played in 27 total games for the Buccaneers since 2016. He wears No. 35 for Tampa Bay.

The team also announced that running back Dare Ogunbowale (pronounced "DAR-ay oh-goon-bo-WALL-ay") has been signed to the practice squad.

Ogunbowale (5-11, 205) spent the first six weeks of this season on Tampa Bay's practice squad. He originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Houston Texans in 2017 and spent time during the 2017 season on the practice squads of the Texans, Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins, while also appearing in two games for Washington. The Milwaukee native played collegiately at Wisconsin.
