2024 Schedule Drop: Bucs Season Starts Against Commanders

The Buccaneers will start their 2024 schedule off with a matchup at Raymond James Stadium against the Washington Commanders

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quest for another NFC South crown in 2024 begins with a matchup against the Washington Commanders at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, September 8, at 4:25 p.m. on FOX.

In 2023, the Commanders finished with a 4-13 record and parted ways with Head Coach Ron Rivera. The Commanders ranked last in the NFL in total defense (388.9) last season and 32nd in pass defense (262.2). With a new staff and front office in 2024, Washington will aim for revitalization in the NFC East. The NFL released the full 2024 regular-season schedule on Thursday evening and the Buccaneers have several key contests lining the home gauntlet.

In Week Seven, the Bucs will take on the visiting Baltimore Ravens via Monday Night Football on October 21. The Ravens locked up the AFC North with a 13-4 record and boasted a defensive unit that finished first in points allowed (16.5), sacks (60) and takeaways (31) last season. In Week 10, the Bucs will face the San Francisco 49ers on November 10 at 1:00 p.m. on FOX. The 49ers have sustained a successful run atop the NFC and will once again be contenders in 2024. San Francisco clinched the NFC West in 2023 with a 12-5 record and the club has appeared in six playoff games over the previous two seasons.
