Bucs-49ers Inactives: Vinny Curry Returns

DE Vinny Curry has been cleared to play in Week 12 after missing four of the last five games…LB Lavonte David and S Justin Evans remain out

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week 12 game at Raymond James Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

The Buccaneers had already ruled out three players on Friday, all on defense, as they will continue to be without starters Lavonte David, Justin Evans and M.J. Stewart. However, defensive end Vinny Curry is back in action after missing four of the last five games with an ankle injury. Rookie guard Alex Cappa is active for the first time and the Buccaneers will keep eight offensive linemen up for the first time this season. This may be a decision to add insurance behind starting center Ryan Jensen, who was limited in practice this week due to a hamstring injury.

Curry and Jensen were two of seven Buccaneers who were considered questionable heading into the weekend. Four of the other five – wide receiver DeSean Jackson, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, long-snapper Garrison Sanborn and safety Jordan Whitehead – were also given the green light for Sunday's game. Rookie running back Ronald Jones will not play.

The 49ers will be without starting wide receiver Pierre Garcon, who will miss his second game in a row due to a knee injury.
