Colts claim tight end, sign 6 to practice squad

Colts Moves

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Colts began fine-tuning their roster Sunday by claiming tight end Jack Doyle off waivers from Tennessee and waiving running back Kerwynn Williams.

Williams was Indy's seventh-round draft pick in April.

The Colts also re-signed linebackers Daniel Adongo and Josh McNary to the practice squad. Adongo, a rugby player from Africa, never played football before training camp started. McNary was trying to make the team after spending the last two years in the U.S. Army fulfilling his service commitment after graduating from West Point. An injury limited his practice time at camp.

Indy also signed center Thomas Austin, quarterback Chandler Harnish, tight end Dominique Jones and cornerback Sheldon Price to the practice squad.

The Colts still have two open spots on the practice squad.
