TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS QUOTE SHEET 1-21-22: HEAD COACH BRUCE ARIANS

Opening Statement:

"The only [people] not practicing were Ronald Jones and Breshad Perriman."

(On what offensive linemen Ryan Jensen and Tristan Wirfs were able to do on Friday and how they looked)

"Yeah, they both moved around in the individual drills. We didn't put them in any team stuff so they wouldn't get tripped or anything. It's still 48 hours [away] and they're progressing nicely."

(On how WR John Brown has looked this week and if he could be elevated for the game)

"John Brown has looked really good and he fit right in. He had a lot of recall of what we were doing. So, we'll see if we're going to make that move, because Cyril [Grayson] practiced today some and looked okay."

(On what RB Ronald Jones II did on the practice field this week)

"Nothing. He didn't do anything."

(On how RB Leonard Fournette looks)

"He looks fine. He looks good. He didn't have the setback he had last week, so we'll wait and see."

(On when he anticipates the decision being made on whether offensive linemen Ryan Jensen and Tristan Wirfs will play Sunday)

"Probably an hour-and-a-half before the game."

(On using TE Rob Gronkowski as a blocker)

"Yeah, we've got a number of different things in the game plan. 'Gronk' is very, very critical in the passing game to be sitting back there blocking too much. You can use him in different ways, but the guys that are playing have to block their guys."

(On if the Rams use CB Jalen Ramsey to shadow the opposition's top receiver and if they will do so with Mike Evans)

"They have at times, but he plays nickel some, he's all over the place. I would anticipate some of it, but I wouldn't say it's going to be wholesale."

(On the status of WR Breshad Perriman's hip)

"Yeah, it really wasn't a hip. He's got a torn muscle in his side."

(On what RB Giovani Bernard brings to the table)

"He's a very productive pro. I mean, he's a pro. He's prepared. His quickness – he's an excellent inside runner and a heck of a receiver. So, he brings a lot of things that we can utilize in a game plan, not just third down."

(On what is special about Rams DL Aaron Donald)

"For a guy of his size, his strength and his quickness, that combination is very unique. I mean, there have been a lot of great three-techniques in different shapes and sizes, and he's one of the best I've seen. But you go through history, boy, there's been some great ones."

(On how he would describe S Jordan Whitehead as a player)

"Well, he's a hitter. He is a hitter and he's a guy that's always prepared. He's really, really improved his pass defense in the last year and a half. He's a force because he's one of those guys that he's going to bring it. He's going to cause turnovers, and you love having him on your squad."

(On DL Ndamukong Suh showing up every week)

"Yeah, it's amazing. He's got a routine, like I said, I don't fool with because it works. He hasn't missed a game in, whatever it is, 12 years and he's still playing at an extremely high level. I would expect him to have a big game this week."

(On how T Tristan Wirfs is doing in terms of pain and swelling in his ankle)

"Yeah, I mean, there's not that much. That leg is so big it's hard to tell."
