BUCCANEERS ADD KENJON BARNER TO PRACTICE SQUAD 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed running back Kenjon Barner to their practice squad. 

Barner (5-9, 195) joins the Buccaneers after appearing in 14 games with the Atlanta Falcons in 2019, primarily handling the team's punt and kickoff returns. He fielded a total of 35 punt returns last seasons for 267 yards (7.6 avg.) and one touchdown, in addition to 17 kickoff returns for 406 yards (23.9 avg.). From scrimmage, Barner also contributed four rushes for 28 yards and one touchdown, along with six receptions for 22 yards.

The former sixth-round selection (No. 182 overall) of the Carolina Panthers in the 2013 NFL Draft has played for the Panthers (2013, 2018), Philadelphia Eagles (2014-17), New England Patriots (2018) and Falcons (2019) since entering the league. Barner was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LII championship team. Over 67 career games, including one start, Barner has rushed 100 times for 416 yards (4.16 avg.) and three touchdowns, adding 28 receptions for 152 yards. He has 72 career punt returns for 555 yards (7.7 avg.) and one touchdown, as well as 48 kick returns for 1,124 yards (23.4 avg.).

The Lynwood, California, native played collegiately at Oregon.

Tampa Bay's practice squad now stands at 16.
