The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed tight end Dominique Dafney to a future contract.
Dafney (6-3, 235) originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Indianapolis Colts on August 26, 2020. He has appeared in 15 career games, making four starts, for the Green Bay Packers during the 2020-21 seasons. In his career, Dafney has brought in four receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown. He began his collegiate career at Iowa Western Community College (2016) before transferring to Iowa (2017-18) and then to Indiana State (2019), where he played as a fullback and a tight end. Dafney was named Second Team All-MVFC (Missouri Valley Football Conference) at fullback for the 2019 season, in which he amassed 635 yards from scrimmage and seven total touchdowns.
This brings Tampa Bay's total number of future contracts to 16 players.
