The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has been awarded kicker Elliott Fry off waivers from the Carolina Panthers.
Fry (6-0, 170) spent time with both the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens in August of 2019 before signing a futures contract with Carolina in December 2019. Previously, he participated in rookie minicamp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to the 2017 season. Fry entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina in 2017, but most recently appeared in a regular season game for the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football, where he went 14-of-14 on field goal attempts, including a long of 47 yards. The Frisco, Texas, native played collegiately at South Carolina, where he is the Gamecocks' all-time leading scorer, with 359 points over his four-year career.
