The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today were awarded offensive lineman Royce Newman off waivers from the Green Bay Packers.
Newman (6-5, 310) originally entered the league as a fourth-round selection (No. 142 overall) by the Packers in the 2021 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 51 career games, making 24 starts, across his three seasons in the league. Newman has logged 1,415 career snaps at right guard, in addition to 190 at left guard and 109 at right tackle. The Nashville, Illinois, native played collegiately at Ole Miss (2016-20), appearing in 42 career games.
In addition, the Buccaneers waived offensive lineman Brandon Walton.
