BUCCANEERS SIGN MATTHEW HENRY

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed wide receiver Matthew Henry. Additionally, the team has placed defensive lineman Deshawn McKnight on Injured Reserve.

Henry (6-1, 180) joins the Buccaneers after participating in rookie minicamps with the Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers earlier this offseason. He played collegiately at Western Kentucky University (2025), Western Illinois University (2024) and Livingstone College (2021-23), appearing in 40 career games and totaling 185 receptions for 2,939 yards and 20 touchdowns. In his lone season at Western Kentucky, Henry started all 13 games and led the team with 888 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 55 receptions, earning second-team All-Conference USA recognition. Prior to WKU, he produced a career-high 1,211 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 64 receptions at Western Illinois in 2024, garnering first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference-Big South recognition. He began his collegiate career at Livingstone College, where he caught 66 passes for 840 yards and eight touchdowns across 15 games. The Miami, Florida, native will wear No. 26 for Tampa Bay.
