The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that the club has signed defensive lineman Rakeem Nuñez-Roches and wide receiver David Sills V.
Nuñez-Roches (6-2, 305) has appeared in 142 career games, including 62 starts, between the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants, accumulating 233 total tackles (20 for loss), 23 quarterback hits, 9.0 sacks, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. During his five seasons with the Buccaneers (2018-22), Nuñez-Roches contributed to a defense that allowed the third-fewest opponent rush yards (98.5 per game), fifth-fewest opponent rushing touchdowns (63) and sixth-lowest opponent yards per rush (4.1) over that span. Nuñez-Roches was a part of the Buccaneers Super Bowl LV championship team in 2020.
He originally entered the league as a sixth-round pick (No. 217 overall) by the Chiefs in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Phenix City, Alabama, native played four collegiate seasons at the University of Southern Mississippi (2011-14), appearing in 31 career games, including 24 starts, tallying 105 tackles (22 for loss) and 4.0 sacks. He earned All-Conference USA First-Team honors in 2014 and Honorable Mention in 2012.
Sills V (6-3, 211) has appeared in 33 career games, including 11 starts, between the New York Giants, Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons, totaling 31 receptions for 314 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Sills played in all 17 games for the Falcons in 2025, establishing career highs in catches (18), receiving yards (191) and receiving touchdowns (two).
He originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Buffalo Bills following the 2019 NFL Draft. The Wilmington, Delaware, native played three collegiate seasons at the University of West Virginia (2015, 2017-18), including a one-year stint with El Camino Community College (2016). With the Mountaineers, he appeared in 33 career games, making 26 starts, recording 132 receptions for 2,097 receiving yards and 35 touchdowns.
