The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed wide receiver Justin Watson (No. 17) to the practice squad.
Watson (6-0, 230) spent the first 15 weeks of the 2021 NFL season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list with Tampa Bay before being activated and playing in one game for the Buccaneers this season. Since being selected with a fifth-round pick (No. 144 overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2018 NFL Draft, Watson has played in 40 career games for the Buccaneers, making four starts. He has recorded 23 receptions for 258 yards and two touchdowns through his first four seasons and was a member of Tampa Bay's Super Bowl LV championship team. The University of Pennsylvania product is a native of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
In addition, the Buccaneers released punter Sterling Hofrichter and defensive back Blidi Wreh-Wilson from the practice squad.
