From 1997 to 2008, Warrick Dunn rushed for 10,967 yards. Of those, 4,986 came in a Buccaneer uniform. The only other Buccaneers to rush for more yards in Tampa Bay are Mike Alstott (5,088) and James Wilder (5,957).
Is it possible that, despite such a productive career, Dunn is underrated? Former NFL running back Tiki Barber thinks so. During a segment on Good Morning Football, Barber said that Dunn is one of the most underrated players in NFL history.
"He had a fantastic career," Barber said. "Interestingly - one of the most underrated players in the history of the league. Ten thousand-plus yards rushing, obviously a ton of receptions - just a dynamic player. No one remembers or talks about how amazing of a player he was."
As it stands, Dunn is No. 22 on the NFL's all-time rushing list. He's within 1,000 yards of Hall-of-Famers O.J. Simpson, Thurman Thomas and John Riggins.
Barber reflected Dunn, his brother and Buccaneer legend Ronde and more during his Good Morning Football segment, which can be viewed above.
