After he was informed that the Bucs claimed him off waivers, Swearinger tweeted, "S/o to @TBBuccaneers I appreciate the opportunity!! Let's Be Great!!! Chance of a lifetime!!! I'll cherish every moment!! #BUCSNATION." Less than 12 hours after becoming the team's newest defensive back, he had changed his photo to a picture of him photoshopped in a Bucs uniform.

2. He'll step in and compete for starting time right away.
In his two seasons in Houston, Swearinger started 22 games. He should be in the mix for a starting spot during training camp.

3. He's got a nose for the end zone.
In college at South Carolina, Swearinger intercepted six passes. He fell to the ground while intercepting three and was downed right away. He had an opportunity to return the other three and brought two back for touchdowns. He's averaging more than 10 yards per interception return in the NFL.

4. He's a former track star.
Swearinger was more than just a standout football player in high school - he also competed in track. In a regional meet in 2009, he finished first in the long jump and second in the 110-meter hurdles. He also competed in sprinting events.

5. He is a talented musician.
Swearinger raps under the name Jungle Boi, similar to his Twitter handle @JungleBoiSwagg. His mixtape *A League of Our Own* has over 18,000 views on LiveMixtapes.com.
