BUCCANEERS MAKE ROSTER MOVES 12-15-25

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. to the active roster off of the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad, and signed defensive lineman C.J. Brewer to the team's practice squad. Additionally, the club has placed cornerback Zyon McCollum on Injured Reserve, and released wide receiver Brandon Johnson from the practice squad.

Walker Jr. (6-2, 235) spent the 2025 offseason and training camp with Tampa Bay after signing with the team as a free agent on March 19. He has started 83-of-99 games in his career, splitting time between the Indianapolis Colts (2017-20), Cleveland Browns (2021-23), and the Miami Dolphins (2024), combining to record 571 career tackles (26 for loss), 21 passes defensed, nine quarterback hits, 5.5 sacks, four interceptions, four fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. Walker Jr. has started all three of his career postseason contests, logging 12 tackles (one for loss). He originally entered the league as a fifth-round pick (No. 161 overall) by the Colts in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Northwestern University (2014-16), appearing in 38 career games and tallying 278 tackles, 12 passes defensed, 7.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries. He will wear No. 3 for Tampa Bay.

Brewer (6-2, 290) was waived by the Buccaneers on Dec. 10 after spending the first 14 weeks of the season between the team's practice squad and active roster. He has appeared in five games for Tampa Bay this season, contributing four tackles, one quarterback hit and a half-sack. In total, Brewer has played in 19 career games between the Buffalo Bills and the Buccaneers, recording 18 tackles (three for loss), four quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks and two passes defensed. Brewer originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Bills on May 16, 2022. The Bowdon, Georgia, native played collegiately at Coastal Carolina (2017–21), where he appeared in 65 career games and totaled 230 tackles (34.0 for loss), 16.0 sacks, four passes defensed, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one interception. He finished his time there ranking eighth in program history in tackles and tied for fifth in sacks. He wears No. 52 for Tampa Bay.
