Bucs' Release Week 11 Depth Chart: Changes on the O-Line

The return of Luke Goedeke from injured reserve and a second straight start for Dan Feeney led to a new offensive line listing on the Bucs' latest depth chart

DepthChart

Each week during the regular season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' communications department publishes a "Game Release" to aid the media in coverage of their upcoming game. Within that release are a number of documents regarding the player roster, including a depth chart, which lists the pecking order at every position on offense, defense and special teams.

Each game week, we will be taking a closer look at that depth chart, pointing out any changes or relevant notes from the previous game and which players saw notable action in that game. Let's start on offense. Rookies are marked with an asterisk. Players we will be discussing in depth are highlighted in bold text.

WR: Sterling Shepard, Kameron Johnson

The return of Luke Goedeke from injured reserve meant a change to the depth chart, as he was reinstalled as the starter at right tackle. Goedeke played all 69 offensive snaps on Sunday against the New England Patriots as he played his first game since Week Two. The spot next to him has also changed on the Week 11 depth chart as Dan Feeney is now listed as the starter. Feeney has opened the last two games at right guard and he also played every offensive snap against the Patriots. While Elijah Klein is listed as the primary backup to left guard Ben Bredeson, he was actually inactive in Week 10 and it was Michael Jordan who came into the game after Bredeson left with a hamstring injury after just six snaps on Sunday.

Tight end Cade Otton and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka rarely came off the field on Sunday against New England as they have become the primary drivers of the Bucs' offense in the absences of Bucky Irving, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan. Otton played all but two of the 69 offensive snaps and matched a career high with nine receptions, gaining 82 yards. Egbuka played 61 snaps and snared six passes for 115 yards and a touchdown. Tez Johnson, a rookie like Egbuka, continued to see his role expand as he played 83% of the snaps and scored two touchdowns. His 57 snaps were a season high.

With Haason Reddick still sidelined by ankle and knee injuries, the team relied heavily on Anthony Nelson and Yaya Diaby as its edge rushers. Nelson played 56 of the 61 defensive snaps on Sunday and Diaby played 49, while the third man in the rotation, Chris Braswell, drew just 16 plays. The Bucs elevated outside linebacker Mohamed Kamara from the practice squad for the game but only had him in for one defensive snap.

The Bucs' coaching staff continued to get rookie cornerback Benjamin Morrison some developmental snaps, as he replaced Jamel Dean for 10 plays against the Patriots. Safety Tykee Smith was off the field for 10 snaps, some of which were jumbo packages against short-yardage run formations, though he was briefly shaken up at one point, as well. Smith created the game's only takeaway with a brilliant diving interception in the end zone in the fourth quarter.

Rookie defensive lineman Elijah Roberts continued to see his role on defense grow, as he started and played 67% of the defensive snaps. Roberts accounted for the Bucs' only sack of the game and also had a pair of third-down drive-killing plays with a pass deflection and a tackle of Drake Maye on a short scramble. Nose tackle Vita Vea played 79% of the snaps and was credited with a season-high seven QB pressures.
