Social Rewind: Buccaneers vs. Saints

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers visited the New Orleans Saints for the second game of the season. The Bucs took an early lead and never relinquished it, despite the Saints attempts at a comeback, and got a 26-19 victory over a division opponent.

Take a look at how the game played out on social media.

There was definitely some familiarity between the two division rivals.

There was some good news for Bucs fans when the injury reports came out.

Bucs were looking for their first win of the season and were on the road.

The Superdome had a problem with the mics during the national anthem, but no worries.

GAMETIME!

The Saints kept their opening drive alive by converting on 3rd and 11, but were unable to advance against the Bucs D and were forced to punt.

Then the Bucs came out on offense.

After flipping the field position on the Saints, the Bucs defense showed up, and caused a weird fumble recovered by the Saints on third down. Saints punt.

The Bucs drive ends with a field goal.

End of the first, good guys up 3-0.

Second quarter now, Saints with the ball.

Bucs punt on next drive, and force the Saints to punt after a Gerald McCoy sack. Bucs back on offense about midway through the second quarter. Bucs drive but forced to settle for a field goal attempt, but no good. Bucs still lead 3-0 with 4:25 left in the first half.

The Saints got a touchdown on the board on their next drive.

Bucs put together a drive on offense… And respond to the Saints' touchdown with one of their own!

Halftime, Bucs up 10-7.

Bucs get the ball to start the half and score again! Bucs up 17-7.

Bucs D gets a takeaway!!!

The Buccaneers get more on the board on a nice drive. Leading 20-7.

The game is getting better and better for the Bucs… Sterling Moore forces a turnover by punching the ball out. Next play, fantastic pass to Louis Murphy.

Saints put together a drive and get down in the red zone. Saints fullback gets the TD. They go for two but don't convert. 23-13 Bucs lead.

After a Jameis Winston fumble, Saints get the ball, but the Bucs defense holds and the Saints miss a field goal.

Doug Martin fumbles so Saints get the ball right back. And score. Extra point is blocked though so Bucs up by 4.

Bucs trying to put something together on offense and also run some time off the clock.

Then Henry Melton comes up HUGE on defense with a fumble recovery.

Bucs defense back on the field with Saints needing a touchdown to tie.

The final pass from Saints QB Drew Brees falls incomplete and the Bucs get the W!!
