The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the Bill Walsh Coaching Fellows that will be assisting the coaching staff during the team's mandatory mini-camp: Kimble Anders, George Foster, Kevin Jones, Jerraud Powers and Nate Washington
Anders has worked as the head football coach and athletic director for Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, since 2013. Anders played fullback for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1991-2000, earning three Pro Bowl berths (1995-97) during that time. A native of Galveston and a graduate of Ball High School, Anders went on to play collegiately at the University of Houston.
Foster was a first-round pick (20th overall) of the Denver Broncos in the 2003 NFL Draft. In his NFL career, the former offensive lineman spent time with Denver, the Detroit Lions, the Cleveland Browns, the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. He also played in two seasons with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. A native of Macon, Georgia, Foster played collegiately at the University of Georgia.
Jones had a six-year NFL career as a running back after being selected with the 30th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech, where he had earned All-American honors. Jones spent his first four seasons with the Detroit Lions (2004-07), before playing his final two with the Chicago Bears (2008-09). He also played for the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League in 2010. Following his playing career, Jones worked as a special assistant to the athletic director at his alma mater from 2014-16. Jones also co-founded Void Design Haus (later re-named JoBa), a design firm based in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Powers spent eight seasons as an NFL cornerback, playing for the Indianapolis Colts (2009-12), Arizona Cardinals (2013-15) and Baltimore Ravens (2016) after entering the league as a third-round pick (92nd overall) of the Colts in the 2009 NFL Draft. A native of Decatur, Alabama, Powers played collegiately at Auburn.
Washington had an 11-year career as a wide receiver in the NFL. Entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2005, he spent four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2005-08), including winning Super Bowls XL and XLIII. Following his time with the Steelers, he joined the Tennessee Titans (2009-14) for six seasons. He spent the 2015 season with the Houston Texans and spent time with the New England Patriots during the 2016 offseason. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Washington played collegiately at Tiffin.
