The Buccaneers' extended their win streak to four games in a row on Sunday when they downed the Chargers, 28-21, in San Diego. The win moves the Buccaneers to 7-5 and into a tie for first place in the NFC South.

The Buccaneers trailed for the majority of the game. Tampa Bay was behind, 14-7, at halftime and took a brief, four-minute lead in the third quarter before reclaiming the lead for good with nine minutes to play in regulation.

With wide receivers Cecil Shorts and Adam Humphries sidelined with injuries, fellow receiver Freddie Martino, along with tight end Cam Brate, shined. Brate led the Buccaneers with six catches for 86 yards and one touchdown. Brate's touchdown put the Bucs ahead, 28-21, in the fourth quarter. Martino hauled in four passes for 56 yards.

Jameis Winston completed 20 of 30 passes for 279 yards with a touchdown and an interception while Doug Martin carried the ball 17 times for 45 yards and a score.

Vernon Hargreaves and Kwon Alexander each finished with seven tackles, leading the team. But the Bucs' biggest play on defense came from Lavonte David, who intercepted Philip Rivers and returned it for a touchdown in the third quarter. Keith Tandy, who started in place of an injured Chris Conte, recorded a late-game interception that capped San Diego's final possession as they were driving.

The Buccaneers will return to Raymond James Stadium for next week's matchup against the Saints.
