The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today activated outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Buccaneers also signed linebacker Deone Bucannon to their practice squad and released guard Nick Leverett from their practice squad.
Bucannon (6-1, 211) has played in 84 career games, making 57 starts, playing both linebacker and safety over his career. The Oakland native has recorded 420 career tackles (28 for loss), 15 quarterback hits, 12 passes defensed, 7.0 sacks, seven forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and two interceptions. He entered the league as a first-round selection (No. 27 overall) by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Washington State. Bucannon played five seasons in Arizona (2014-18) before splitting the 2019 season between the Buccaneers and New York Giants.
