BUCCANEERS SIGN 16 PLAYERS TO PRACTICE SQUAD

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed the following players 16 players to the practice squad:

Fifteen of the 16 players signed today were with the Buccaneers during training camp, including offensive lineman Lorenz Metz – a member of the International Player Pathway Program – who does not count against Tampa Bay's roster limit for the club's practice squad. There is currently one empty spot remaining on Tampa Bay's practice squad.

Vernon (6-5, 230) originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022. He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings in May of this year and spent all of training camp with the team before being waived on August 19. Vernon played collegiately at Portland State University (2019-21) and Santa Rosa Junior College (2017-18). At Portland State, Vernon appeared in 24 games and recorded 94 punts for 4,148 yards (44.1 gross avg.), including a career long punt of 66 yards.
