Bucs-49ers Inactives: McCoy Returns to Action

Pro Bowl DT Gerald McCoy will return from his calf injury on Sunday in Santa Clara, but fellow linemen Robert Ayers and Clinton McDonald remain out.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers named their game day inactives on Sunday at 2:35.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week Seven contest at Levi's Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy will return to his starting spot on the front line after missing a game and a half with a calf injury. However, fellow D-Line starters Robert Ayers (ankle) and Clinton McDonald (hamstring) remain out. Starting running back Doug Martin will also miss his fourth straight game due to a hamstring injury.

San Francisco will play without their leading rusher, RB Carlos Hyde. However, WR Torrey Smith has been cleared to play despite being questionable due to a back injury.
