Bucs-Chargers Inactives: McCoy to Play

The Bucs will have their sack leader in action Sunday as DT Gerald McCoy, questionable due to a foot injury, has been cleared to play…San Diego will be without two defensive starters.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Diego Chargers named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 2:55 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week 13 contest at Qualcomm Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

Four players were questionable on Tampa Bay's final injury report of the week, but all have been cleared to play, including Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, who leads the team with 6.0 sacks. McCoy's only practice came on Friday, in a limited fashion, but he'll be back in the middle of a defensive line that produced six sacks against Seattle last Sunday. Running back Jacquizz Rodgers, tight end Brandon Myers and safety Ryan Smith have all suited up, as well.

San Diego will once again be without a pair of defensive starters in cornerback Brandon Flowers and rookie inside linebacker Jatavis Brown. Flowers will miss his third consecutive game due to a concussion while Brown has been held out of four straight with a knee injury. WR Tyrell Williams, who was questionable on the Chargers' injury report and is the team's leading receiver, has been cleared to play.
