Bucs-Vikings Inactives: Three Starters Out

The Buccaneers will play their second game of 2017 without three players who started on defense the previous Sunday: LB Kwon Alexander, DT Chris Baker and CB Brent Grimes

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week Three contest at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

Four of the Buccaneers' seven inactive players are out due to illness or injury, including three starters on defense. The flu bug that afflicted the team throughout the week will keep starting defensive tackle Chris Baker and defensive end Jacquies Smith out of action on Sunday, although starting left guard has been cleared to play. The Bucs' defense will also be without starting middle linebacker Kwon Alexander (hamstring) and starting cornerback Brent Grimes (shoulder).

Minnesota had a relatively clean injury report by the end of their week of preparations, with one very notable exception: Starting quarterback Sam Bradford will miss a second straight game due to a knee ailment.
