Bucs Notable Numbers - Week Three

Here are a few fun numbers to impress your friends with ahead of the Buccaneers’ home matchup with the New York Giants on Sunday.

68.5 – The number of rushing yards the Tampa Bay defense is allowing per game through Week Two of this season. It's tied for the sixth-fewest in the league ahead of a matchup with one of the best running backs in the league.

174 – The number of receiving yards wide receiver Chris Godwin has so far this season. It ranks him fifth in the league and puts him on pace for a 1,392-yard season.

3 – The number of players in franchise history to record a forced fumble in their first two NFL games after rookie outside linebacker Anthony Nelson accomplished the feat on Thursday night in Carolina. The other two were Gerald McCoy and Mason Foster.

1.5 – The number of sacks outside linebacker Shaq Barrett needs to tie Warren Sapp for the most sacks through three games in team history (5.5).

106 – The number of rushing yards running back Peyton Barber recorded in the last meeting with the Giants at MetLife Stadium. It was a career-high for Barber. He also scored a touchdown.

101.1 – Quarterback Jameis Winston's passer rating in three games against the New York Giants. He's thrown for 778 yards, with five touchdowns and only one interception.

3 – The number of consecutive games wide receiver Chris Godwin has now recorded a touchdown catch dating back to last season.

5 – The number of former Wisconsin Badgers that will be taking the field on Sunday. The Buccaneers have defensive tackle Beau Allen, running back Dare Ogunbowale and inside linebacker Jack Cichy on their active roster. The Giants have linebacker Ryan Connelly and guard Kevin Zeitler.

Oh, it's also the number of Auburn Tigers that will be on the field, too. For the Buccaneers, running back Peyton Barber and cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Jamel Dean all attended Auburn. For the Giants, guard Chad Slade and wide receiver Darius Slayton are former Tigers.
