Bucs Welcoming Robert Ayers' Intensity

The Buccaneers believe that a player like Ayers will be a valuable asset this season.

Defensive end Robert Ayers, one of the key offseason acquisitions for a defense in transition, gave hungry Buccaneer fans something to gnaw on with an intense and entertaining session with the media on Monday. It was well-received, to say the least.

Many of Ayers' words regarding intensity on the field and a desire to prove the strength of the Bucs' new-look defense were well-received within the walls of One Buccaneer Place, as well, including in the upstairs corner office.

"It's great, we need it," said Head Coach Dirk Koetter of Ayers' intensity. "I mean, we need that. If you've really been paying attention out here I think you see that he's got other guys falling in line behind him on that. It's a great thing to see, because we need it."
