The Glazer Family Foundation awards grants to 19 Bay Area organizations in its second grant cycle of the year

Representatives from 19 community organizations visited Buccaneers practice on Thursday to receive grants from the Glazer Family Foundation

The Glazer Family Foundation, the charitable arm of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, announced today the donation of $25,000 to 19 organizations throughout Tampa Bay area for its Fall Grant 2001 Program. The check presentation was held during the Buccaneers practice at One Buccaneer Place.

The Glazer Family, owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, established the grant program in an effort to financially assist local organizations with special requests. The focus of the Bi-annual Grant Program is to support the general health, safety, education and recreation for youth and families in West Central Florida.

"We are honored to award grants to these organizations," said Joel Glazer, Executive Vice President of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "They are very deserving for what they contribute to our community."

The Foundation will begin accepting applications for phase I of the Grant 2002 Program beginning May 1 through July 1. For an application and guidelines, please visit the Foundation's web site at www.glazerfamilyfoundation.com.

The Glazer Family Foundation, in its third year of existence, is dedicated to developing ways to assist charitable and educational causes focusing on youth and families in West Central Florida communities.
