QB Chris Simms found letters and gifts from fans very uplifting during his stay in the hospital

Dear Buccaneers fans,

I would truly like to thank all the Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans. The support you gave me after I was injured was unreal. The way you treat me when you see me, all the letters, candy, food, balloons, flowers that I got – I can't tell you how much all that brightened up my day while I was sitting in the hospital doing nothing.

It definitely was a huge part of my rehabilitation process to know how much support was behind me. You have again shown to me that Buccaneers fans are in a league of their own. You've shown me great respect, and I'm very thankful for that.

Sincerely,

!
