Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucs' Week 5 NFL Power Rankings

The Bucs fall in the latest rankings following their first road loss of the season in Chicago.

Following a lopsided loss in Chicago, the Buccaneers have unsurprisingly fallen in this week's NFL power rankings. The Bears' defense was as advertised as the Bucs struggled to gain any sort of offensive momentum. Defensively, Tampa Bay struggled mostly in the first half, allowing five first half touchdowns by second-year quarterback Mitch Trubisky.

The Bucs now hover in the 18-20 range as they sit third in the NFC South, still ahead of the Falcons – though the experts don't see it that way. NFL.com's Elliot Harrison has the birds ranked one spot ahead of the Bucs in his rankings, despite Tampa Bay owning the better overall record. Plus, the two wins the Bucs do have under their belt belong to two of the league's top-ranked teams in both the Saints and the Eagles. Either way, Tampa Bay gets a chance to reset with their bye this week before they head to Atlanta to take on those 1-3 Falcons in Week Six.
