After a strong performance against the Rams in Week 3, Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award. This is the second time in three weeks that Winston has been nominated for the award after winning it for his Week 1 performance against the Falcons.
Winston completed 36 of 58 passes for 405 yards, three touchdowns and in interception as Tampa Bay fell, 37-32, to Los Angeles. He led the league in passing yards, becoming the only NFL quarterback to throw for more than 400 yards in Week 3. Winston finished the game averaging seven yards per pass attempt and with a passer rating of 93.0.
Also nominated for the award are Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Should Winston win, it would be the third award he's won in as many weeks. He won both the FedEx Air Player of the Week, along with the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week, in Week 1. The FedEx Air Player of the Week award is determined by a fan vote, so Buccaneer fans are encouraged to vote for Winston early and often. To select him, click HERE.
