3 Things to Watch at Camp, July 30

A few things to keep an eye on during the Bucs' first open training camp practice.

**

  1. The first open practice.**
Today will be the open training camp practice of the summer, with practice starting at 8:45 a.m and wrapping up around 11 a.m.. Practice is open to the general public free of charge. For parking information and rules for camp, clickHERE.

  1. Increasing intensity.**
The Buccaneers were in shorts, t-shirts and helmets on Friday but will be wearing shoulder pads during today's practice. Contact is stlil forbidden, but it will be interesting to see which players turn it up a notch when the pads come on, especially along the offensive and defensive lines. The Buccaneers will be in full pads for the first time on Sunday, when practice is also open to the public.

3. Rookies getting reps.
During Thursday's practice, rookie Caleb Benenoch took a few reps with the starters at right guard, but the only rookie to establish themselves as a starter thus far is kicker Roberto Aguayo. Noah Spence has taken a few first-team reps at defensive end in the Bucs' pass-rush package while Vernon Hargreaves and Ryan Smith have played the majority of their snaps with the twos. It's not unusual for rookies to start off slowly. Keep an eye on the aforementioned rookies to get more and more reps as camp carries on.
