Today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that applications for its seventh Tampa Bay Buccaneers She is Football Scholarship, are now open.
The scholarship is available to female high school seniors nationwide who have played a form of organized football (flag, tackle, touch, etc.), have earned a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during their high school academic career and plan to enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college or university.

Applications are open until April 24, 2026. The scholarship recipients will be announced at a later date.
The She is Football Scholarship is part of the Buccaneers' commitment to developing 50,000 female leaders annually through the power of sport. The Buccaneers were the first NFL team to create an academic scholarship of this kind when it was established in 2020 by way of a $250,000 commitment from the Glazer family.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the largest girls flag football tournament in the country with the Girls High School Flag Football Preseason Classic, a multi-day event that brings together more than 130 high school teams and over 3,000 student athletes in a round robin-style competition. The eighth annual Buccaneers Preseason Classic will kick off Monday, February 9 and continue through Sunday, February 15.
The Buccaneers will also host their annual She is Football Weekend, presented by Jabil on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7, featuring the return of the She is Football Flag Invitational taking place across both days. The contest will see eight of Florida's top high schools take the field for a two-day, bracket-style tournament.
The weekend will also include a career summit headlined by Erin Andrews, a 5K run, walk & stroll and a market that showcases local small businesses.
