BUCCANEERS HIRE VICKY FREE SISTRUNK AS NEW CHIEF IMPACT OFFICER

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced the appointment of Vicky Free Sistrunk as the team's new Chief Impact Officer. In this role, Sistrunk will be responsible for leading the team's community outreach efforts and implementing impactful initiatives to drive positive change in the Tampa Bay area.

With over 20 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry, Sistrunk brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Buccaneers organization. Prior to joining the Buccaneers, she served as the Head of Global Marketing for adidas, where she led the development of groundbreaking campaigns and initiatives that resonated with audiences across the globe. In addition to her work with adidas, Sistrunk has held a variety of leadership positions for Novant Health, Walt Disney Studios, BET Networks and Turner Broadcasting Systems.

"During their nearly three decades of ownership, the Glazer family has placed a high organizational priority towards serving the Tampa Bay community and Vicky's veteran leadership will take our community and social impact department to a new level," said Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford. "As we continue in our efforts to expand and grow our philanthropic endeavors and community programming, Vicky will provide the vision and direction that will be vital to that growth. Her extensive experience working with global brands will play a key role in expanding our community outreach efforts and elevating our organizational commitment to the entire Tampa Bay region."   

As Chief Impact Officer, Sistrunk will work closely with the club's community and social impact department. In her role, she will develop and implement programs that address critical issues facing the Tampa Bay community, including the organization's key pillars of gender equality, social justice, education, and honoring military veterans. She will also oversee the team's player-led initiatives and support their efforts to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Additionally, she will oversee the Glazer Vision Foundation which is committed to ending the silent vision crisis by supplying full-treatment vision correction and free prescription glasses for underserved children in the Tampa Bay area.  

Sistrunk owns an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. She has earned leadership certifications from UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management and Harvard University. Sistrunk's executive leadership goes beyond the workplace, as she also serves on leadership councils, advisory boards, and boards of directors for education systems and award programs.
