The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has signed safety Deone (Day-own) Bucannon, cornerback De'Vante Harris, wide receiver Breshad Perriman and punter Bradley Pinion (pronounced pin-YUN).
Bucannon (6-1, 211) joins the Buccaneers after spending his first five seasons with the Arizona Cardinals (2014-18). He originally entered the league as a first-round pick (27th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft and played under current Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians for his first four seasons.
In his career, Bucannon has played in 70 games, with 56 starts, totaling 394 tackles (27 for loss), 12 passes defensed, 7.0 sacks, seven forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and two interceptions (returned 78 yards, one touchdown). In 2015, Bucannon led the Cardinals with 109 tackles, while also posting a career-high 3.0 sacks, which tied for the fourth-most by a defensive back in the NFL. Bucannon's three forced fumbles in 2015 were tied for the most in the league among defensive backs and his 11 tackles for loss were the second-most among the position.
A native of Fairfield, California, Bucannon played collegiately at Washington State, where he earned first-team All-American honors as a senior.
Harris (5-11, 190) played in 10 games with Tampa Bay last season, starting one, recording six tackles, three passes defensed and four special teams tackles. He spent the previous two seasons (2016-17) playing for the New Orleans Saints. The Mesquite, Texas, native entered the league as a college free agent with New Orleans in 2016. He has played in 31 career games, with two starts, registering 30 tackles, six passes defensed, one fumble recovery and 10 special teams tackles. Harris played collegiately at Texas A&M.
Perriman (6-2, 215) spent the 2018 season with the Cleveland Browns, playing in 10 games, with two starts, catching 16 passes for 340 yards (21.3 avg.) and two touchdowns. Among players with at least 10 catches last season, Perriman's 21.3 yards per reception were the highest in the NFL.
Originally a first-round selection (26th overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2015 NFL Draft, Perriman spent his first three seasons playing for Baltimore (2015-17). In his career, Perriman has played in 37 games, with six starts, catching 59 passes for 916 yards (15.5 avg.) and five touchdowns. Since the 2016 season, Perriman's 15.5 yards per reception rank 12th in the NFL among players with at least 50 catches.
A native of Lithonia, Georgia, Perriman played collegiately at Central Florida.
Pinion (6-5, 229) comes to Tampa Bay the Buccaneers after spending his first four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers (2015-18). In his career, Pinion has played in 64 games, punting 334 times for 14,599 yards (43.7 avg.), while placing 112 punts inside the 20-yard line and averaging a 39.9 net average. He also handled kickoffs, kicking 244 times, with 174 touchbacks (71.3 pct.).
Since entering the league, Pinion ranks fifth in the NFL in punts inside the 20. In 2017, he recorded a career-best 41.3 net punting average, while tying a career high with 31 punts inside the 20 (also matched in 2015). His 71.3 touchback percentage ranks fifth among specialists with at least 160 kickoffs during that span. Pinion, a native of Concord, North Carolina, originally entered the league as a fifth-round pick (165th overall) of the 49ers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Clemson.
