Dungy & Lynch Among Candidates for Hall

Former Bucs greats Tony Dungy and John Lynch are among 26 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015, announced Tuesday.

Dungy served as head coach for the Buccaneers from 1996 to 2001 and is credited for laying the foundation for the team that won the 2002 Super Bowl under Jon Gruden, who succeeded Dungy after his departure.

Lynch played safety for 11 seasons with the Bucs, including six under Dungy, and was named to nine Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams.

The list of candidates will be pared down to 15 in January. For a full list of candidates, visit this link at the Pro Football Hall of Fame website.
