Gramatica tested for appendicitis.

The Buccaneers breathed a sigh of relief on Monday afternoon when rookie K Martin Gramatica tested negative for appendicitis. Gramatica had been taken to St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday morning due to abdominal cramping, for which one possible diagnosis was appendicitis. However, there was no problem detected with his appendix and he was released from the hospital late in the afternoon.

Gramatica did not participate in Monday's light workout but will return for Tuesday's practice, which this week will be the full-scale practice the team usually holds on Wednesday. Gramatica finished the regular season with a team-record 106 points, hitting on 27 of 32 field goals and all 25 extra point attempts. His 27 field goals were also a single-season franchise record.
