The National Football League has reported on NFL.com that it will not play any of its games this weekend.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles in Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, September 16, with kickoff at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

Buccaneers players and coaches were informed of the NFL's decision as they left the practice field after a walk-through on Thursday morning. Despite the decision, the Buccaneers willpractice on Thursday afternoon, from approximately 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Since the Bucs are scheduled to have a bye week next weekend, the team will not be back in action until September 30, when Tampa Bay travels to Minnesota for a 1:00 p.m. EDT contest.

Details of the NFL's plan and reaction from the Buccaneers' locker room will follow shortly.
