Former Buccaneers' quarterback Tom Brady came out firing on all cylinders at the Fanatic Flag Football Classic, hitting Stefon Diggs for a touchdown in the corner of the end zone on his first play. The 48-year-old ageless wonder followed suit with a pass to former teammate Rob Gronkowski for the two-point conversion, providing their team with an 8-0 lead. However, Gronkowski went down with a hamstring injury and the USA squad took command of the scrimmage. Team USA defeated Brady's Founders FFC 43-16, which also included Bucs' safety Antoine Winfield Jr., along with NFL players Ashton Jeanty, Alvin Kamara, DeVonta Smith, Von Miller, Damar Hamlin, Patrick Peterson and boxer Terence Crawford.

Flag football is set to make its Olympic debut at the 2028 LA Games and many NFL players have stressed the desire to try out for an opportunity to play for gold. The event took place at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, relocating from the original venue at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia due to the Iran war.
