Aguayo NFC Special Teams Player of the Week

K Roberto Aguayo has been selected as the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against the Chiefs.

The Buccaneers went on the road to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11, with extra help from outstanding play in the kicking game from rookie Roberto Aguayo. Aguayo was perfect on all four of his field goal attempts and added an extra point, accounting for 13 of the Buccaneers 19 points in the victory.

Aguayo nailed kicks from 31, 22, 41 and 36 yards in the win in Kansas City. The Chiefs had previously won 10 straight games at home and 17 of their last 19 regular season games.

Aguayo's four made field goals are a career high and are the most by a Buccaneers kicker without a miss since 2011. This is his first NFC Special Teams Player of the Week Award.
