BUCCANEERS ANNOUNCE 2025 HOME GAME THEMES FOR CLUB'S 50TH SEASON
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced home game themes for the 2025 season at Raymond James Stadium. This year's slate commemorates the franchise's historic 50th season, features a primetime Thursday night divisional clash, and includes a Ring of Honor induction – all while celebrating milestone moments and honoring the legends who have shaped five decades of Buccaneers football.
"As we celebrate our 50th season, we are committed to honoring the past, highlighting the present, and laying the groundwork for the next exciting era of Buccaneers football," said Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford. "In addition to a great home schedule against some of the league's most storied franchises, we have an exciting lineup of game themes that will commemorate iconic players and signature moments throughout our rich history. Each season, we pride ourselves on providing our Krewe with an unmatched gameday atmosphere at Raymond James Stadium and this year's season-long celebration of Buccaneers football promises to be the most memorable yet."
The Buccaneers open the preseason on Saturday, August 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET, hosting the Tennessee Titans at Raymond James Stadium. In partnership with the NFL's "Play Football" initiative, the game will spotlight the character, leadership, and dedication that define players, coaches, and staff across all levels of the sport. Tampa Bay kicks off its 2025 regular season home schedule in Week 3 with a Sept. 21 matchup against the New York Jets at 1:00 p.m. ET, presented by Raymond James. In celebration of the team's 50th season, the home opener will feature iconic moments and honor the legends who have helped shape the franchise. Replica hats modeled after those worn by Buccaneers Ring of Honor member and the franchise's first head coach, John McKay, will be distributed to the first 25,000 fans at the gates.
The following week, the Buccaneers will host the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on September 28 at 1:00 p.m. ET, presented by Ticketmaster. Continuing the celebration of the team's 50th season, one lucky fan will win a vintage 1976 Ford Bronco in a special halftime giveaway.
On Sunday, October 12, Tampa Bay hosts the San Francisco 49ers for a 1:00 p.m. ET game in Week 6. In conjunction with the NFL's "Crucial Catch" campaign, the team will work alongside the NFL to raise awareness for early cancer detection. Players, coaches, and officials will continue the tradition of dressing in gear dedicated to fighting cancer.
Following a pair of road games and the Bye Week, the Buccaneers return home in Week 10 for a November 9 matchup against the New England Patriots at 1:00 p.m. ET. The annual "Salute to Service" game, presented by Mosaic, honors veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Players and coaches across the league will wear military-themed gear and sideline items as a symbol of appreciation for our armed forces. As part of the day's events, Mosaic will also donate one meal for every fan in attendance to Feeding Tampa Bay, helping to fight hunger in the local community.
Three weeks later, in Week 13, the club will begin a three-game homestand, starting with a November 30 contest against the Arizona Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. ET. The matchup against the Cardinals will feature a special halftime ceremony honoring Simeon Rice as the 16th inductee into the Buccaneers Ring of Honor.
The following week, Tampa Bay plays host to the division rival New Orleans Saints in a 1:00 p.m. ET showdown for the second annual She Is Football game, presented by Florida Blue. The game will once again celebrate the diverse contributions of women in football, on and off the field. As part of the festivities, the club will host a girls' flag football skills challenge during halftime, highlighting the impact of Buccaneers-led initiatives such as the Girls in Football Scholarship and the She Is Football Summit.
Just four days later, Raymond James Stadium returns to the national primetime stage for Thursday Night Football in an 8:15 p.m. ET Week 15 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The December 11 game, presented by Publix, will celebrate the team's iconic Creamsicle uniforms with in-game elements and a creamsicle t-shirt giveaway honoring the classic look, while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to participate by wearing their favorite, orange-colored Buccaneers attire to match the team's throwback uniforms.
The regular season concludes with a Week 18 home matchup against the Carolina Panthers, presented by Fifth Third Bank. As part of the NFL's "Inspire Change" initiative, the game will highlight the impact of the Krewe, including players, staff, and the greater region, in supporting the Tampa Bay community.
