The NFL released its full schedule for the 2019 season on April 17 but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' own slate of games wasn't finalized until Tuesday. For the first time since 2016, it will include a Saturday game.

The original NFL schedule included five games in Week 16 that would, at a later date, be placed on either Saturday, December 21 or Sunday, December 22. Those game dates and times have now been determined and the Buccaneers are set to kick off against the Houston Texans at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Tampa Bay's game is the first of three on Saturday, all of which will be broadcast by NFL Network. The Buccaneers' game will also be carried live locally on MOR-TV.

The Bucs-Texans game will be followed by a matchup of Buffalo and New England at 4:30 p.m. ET and a Los Angeles Rams-San Francisco contest at 8:15 p.m. ET. The two other games previously unscheduled were Oakland versus the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit versus Denver, both of which will kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday and be broadcast by CBS.

The Buccaneers last played a game on Saturday at New Orleans in Week 16 of the 2016 campaign, part of a nearly full slate of NFL games on December 24, with only two games played on Christmas Day. Tampa Bay last played a home game on a Saturday in 2011, when Dallas visited on December 17. The Bucs' last win in a Saturday game was an overtime victory over Atlanta on December 24, 2005 that helped Tampa Bay clinch a division title. Overall, this will be the 19th time the Buccaneers have played a regular-season game on a Saturday.
