On Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced a multi-year extension of their Pewter Partnership with Verizon Wireless.

Verizon Wireless will continue as the "Official Wireless Communications Provider" for the Buccaneers with the ability to use team logos, prominent signage throughout the stadium as well as various hospitality elements.

"We are thrilled to have Verizon Wireless return as a Pewter Partner," said Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer, Eric Land. "The goals and objectives we share in this special relationship can only help enhance value to our committed fan base."

Verizon Wireless owns and operates the nation's most reliable network, serving 51.3 million voice and data customers. Headquartered in Bedminster, NJ, Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE and LSE: VOD).

"We've long enjoyed a natural fit between two great organizations," said Verizon Wireless Florida Region President Mike Lanman. "Verizon Wireless is excited about extending that relationship and continuing to bring Florida sports fans the best in both football and wireless entertainment."
