Bucs-Falcons Inactives: DE Johnson Out

As anticipated, T Anthony Collins, RB Doug Martin and CB Alterraun Verner will all be sidelined by injuries in Week 10, but DE Michael Johnson is the fourth Buc starter added to that list

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons named their game day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week Nine matchup at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

The Bucs' inactives begin with four starters who will miss the game due to injury: left tackle Anthony Collins, right defensive end Michael Johnson, running back Doug Martin and cornerback Alterraun Verner. Collins and Martin will each be out for a second straight week and Verner was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report, but Johnson was an unfortunate piece of additional news on Sunday. Rookie G Kadeem Edwards is also out due to a foot injury suffered in practice Friday, but Edwards had been inactive for the Bucs' first eight games anyway.

The Falcons' list of inactives did not include any players currently designated as starters.
