Kenneth Gainwell has signed a two-year contract with the Buccaneers, becoming a dynamic weapon for the organization's backfield.
Gainwell spent the 2025 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, totaling more than 1,000 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns. The 26-year-old set career highs in rushing yards (537), receiving yards (486) and touchdowns while showcasing his versatility as both a rusher and a threat downfield. Gainwell was named the Team MVP for the 2025 season, an accolade voted on by his teammates.
Prior to Pittsburgh, Gainwell spent the first four seasons of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, appearing in two Super Bowls and becoming a champion in the 2024 season. During the 2022 postseason, Gainwell led the Eagles with 181 rushing yards while averaging 5.5 yards per carry. As a rookie in 2021, he tied the franchise rookie record with five rushing touchdowns. Since 2021, Gainwell has been the only running back to play at least 16 regular-season games every year.
Gainwell joins Bucky Irving in the running back room, ready to make an impact for the Buccaneers.
