More than 1,200 players have suited up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of nearly a half-century of football, and in celebration of the upcoming 50th season in franchise history, the team and its fans have identified the best of the best. In a process driven primarily by fan voting but also including input from current and former members of the media as well as select team officials, the Buccaneers have produced a ranked list of the Top 50 Players in Franchise History, and now its time to reveal who those men are.
Beginning on Tuesday night, the Buccaneers will reveal those Top 50 Players Presented by Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, 10 at a time. Each installment of the video series will premiere nightly at 8:00 p.m. ET on the team's YouTube channel followed by Buccaneers.com and the official Buccaneers app, along with written descriptions of the chosen players and other content. A star-studded group of former Buccaneer greats served as guests in the video series, providing first-hand assessments of what made the Top 50 Players so memorable.
Here is the schedule for the series of video reveals:
- Players ranked 50–41 – Tuesday, August 19 at 8:00 p.m. ET
- Players ranked 40–31 – Wednesday, August 20 at 8:00 p.m. ET
- Players ranked 30–21 – Thursday, August 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET
- Players ranked 20–11 – Wednesday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET
- Players ranked 10–1 – Thursday, August 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET
