Position Group: Offensive Line
Players: Tristan Wirfs, Michael Jordan, Graham Barton, Dan Feeney, Luke Goedeke, Benjamin Chukwuma, Elijah Klein, Luke Haggard, Charlie Heck, Ben Bredeson (Reserve/Injured), Cody Mauch (Reserve/Injured)
2025 Evaluation: The Buccaneers dealt with a rash of injuries along the offensive line, leading to nine different starting combinations down the stretch of the 2025 slate. Starting right guard Cody Mauch suffered a season-ending knee injury on Monday Night Football in Week Two and Tampa Bay put left guard Ben Bredeson on IR after he sustained a knee injury in the club's loss to the Saints in Week 14. The lineup combination that the Bucs used the most frequently (five occurrences) became Tristan Wirfs at left tackle, Michael Jordan at left guard, Graham Barton at center, Dan Feeney at right guard and Luke Goedeke at right tackle. The combo of Wirfs, Bredeson, Barton, Haggard and Heck was utilized the next highest in three matchups.
Wirfs earned his fifth Pro Bowl nod following the 2025 season â the third-most by an offensive player in team history, trailing only Mike Alstott and Mike Evans. This past season, Wirfs totaled 710 offensive snaps through Week 16, and per Pro Football Focus metrics, yielded just four quarterback hits and two sacks. PFF credited Wirfs with a 92.0 offensive grade in 2025 â the second-highest among any qualified offensive linemen. Additionally, his 91.0 run-blocking grade ranked sixth and his 84.6 pass-blocking grade ranked seventh across the NFL. He is quick out of his stance and has the agility for move blocks and pulls in space. With tremendous upper-body strength and a timely punch, Wirfs has cemented himself as one of the best tackles in the game.
Jordan, who the Bucs signed in July for depth, recently started 11 games for the Patriots in 2024. Prior to joining the Bucs, he had 40 career starts under his belt and 67 total games played for the Bengals, Panthers and Patriots. Originally a fourth-round pick by the Bengals in 2019, Jordan showcased his awareness on combo blocks and ability to redirect in space in 2025. Jordan combatted rush counters and helped solidify the Bucs' line this past season.
Barton, the Bucs' first-round draft pick in 2024 out of Duke, plays with tenacity and is a rancorous run blocker with efficiency at the second level. He showcased the athleticism to assist on climbs, uprooting opponents. Barton helped set the tone in the interior at center and Feeney was signed off the Bills' practice squad after Mauch was placed on IR. Prior to arriving in Tampa Bay, Feeney had started 65 of 120 games over the previous three seasons. Feeney plays light on his feet and can slide quickly, while effectively picking up twists/stunts. He is adept at zone blocking and redirecting with power. Goedeke, the team's primary starter at right tackle, missed time at the beginning of the year on Injured Reserve. He sustained a foot injury in Week One and aggravated it in Week Two against the Texans, forcing him to miss multiple games. Goedeke spent six games on the sideline and Charlie Heck filled in. Goedeke finishes blocks and is dubbed "the enforcer" in the run game by teammates. With an initial jarring punch, smooth footwork on pulls and anticipation at the second level, his presence elevated the unit.
2026 Outlook: Guard Dan Feeney, tackle Charlie Heck and guard Michael Jordan are all impending free agents in March. The Bucs will need to bolster their depth along the offensive line either through free agency or the draft. After the revolving door of injuries in 2025 and game of musical chairs that ensued game-to-game, Tampa Bay will look to add reinforcements.
