5 Notes for Bucs Against Eagles | Week Four

In the Buccaneers’ 31-25 loss to the Eagles in Week Four, five notes stood out for the home team

5Notes

1. Bucky Irving eclipses 100 receiving yards on the day, becoming the first Buccaneers running back to do so since Jacquizz Rodgers in 2018.

2. Chase McLaughlin establishes a new Buccaneers franchise record by connecting on a 65-yard field goal as time expires in the first half. The 65-yard kick is tied for the second-longest made field goal in NFL history.

3. Baker Mayfield connected with rookie Emeka Egbuka on a 77-yard touchdown pass, Mayfield's longest since joining the Buccaneers. With the catch, Egbuka set a new franchise mark for the most receiving yards by a Buccaneer in their first four career games, surpassing Michael Clayton (240). Mayfield's 72-yard and 77-yard touchdown passes marked the first time in his career he's thrown multiple 70-plus yard touchdown passes in a single game.

4. Vita Vea dropped Jalen Hurts for two nine-yard sacks, marking his fifth career game with 2.0-plus sacks and first since 11/4/24 at Kansas City.

5. Kameron Johnson returned the Philadelphia punt 46 yards -- his second punt return of 40-plus yards this season. Johnson's two punt returns of 40-plus yards are tied for the second most by a Buccaneers returner in a single season, trailing only Karl Williams in 2002 (3).
